This is the first post, and we don't know where to begin. The point of this blog is to learn from other people's informed opinions. It's very important that you leave comments after posts, especially if you have any expertise about the issue being discussed. So please, let us know what you think about what we think about whatever we are thinking about. That's how this blogging thing works, right?

So, what should we start off with? Introduce ourselves? Nah...who cares? How about get into a nice heated debate right off the bat?

"Issue #1" is the economy (according to CNN, at least). So in our post #1, it would be fitting to discuss why America's economy--and consequently the world's economy--is going down the drain and what is the best course of action that could fix it. Well, the answer is simply...going to be discussed in later post.

There's war, which is always fun to talk about (but never fun to be in). Presently, America is in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting the "War on Terror" (do you like how I stated that as if you didn't already know it?) as well as continuing an ongoing and still, at least in my opinion, unsuccessful "War on Drugs" that is ending its second decade. There's also a fresh war between Hamas and Israel that is only four days old about which we can confabulate. Are there strategies that we brave bloggers of the world wide web can put forth that can bring cessations to these conflicts and ultimately achieve lasting peace? Of course! Give us like ten minutes and pack of Red Bull. Just kidding. I hate Red Bull.

On another note, I don't believe in any sort of benevolent, omniscient, omnipresent, supernatural being, and I am pretty vehemently opposed to organized religion of any sort. My co-blog-host, who goes so far as to claim I'm intolerant because of my abhorrence of religion , disagrees with me on that point (as well as many other points). There are so many Atheist/Theists blogs out there, why not turn this blog into yet another one? In time...but not quite yet.

So those are just three ideas for a good first blog. What do you guys think? I will spend the next day and a half trying to figure out how to post this, and in that time you guys can figure out what we should talk about. Oh another idea...Blogging. Who does it and why does s/he think I would give two squirts of monkey piss what s/he thinks about anything? Yeah! Exactly! I know riiiiiiight.
